Rest.

I am thankful this morning to rest in Asheville, North Carolina. I am thankful for chai tea and Don't Waste Your Life, and my new obsession: Rend Collective Experiment. Hope you like it. Kind of a mix between Mumford & NTB.

Another keeper

Since I will be out of the beloved Glory House in about 3 weeks I've decided it is time to purge/utilize my non-perishables I've had for awhile. This included some couscous, beans, noodles, etc. For my many cans of garbanzo beans I decided to make them into a little snack (for those soon-to-be nights spent in the library)

Although I did get this off pinterest, I changed the ingredients up a little bit. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Baked Chick Peas

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees
  • Drain & Empty can of peas onto paper towel and blot to get liquid off
From here on, I kind of eyed the amount to everything. You can't really mess up!
  • Put peas into a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil
Add whatever spices you want. I used:
Salt
Pepper
Chili powder
Garlic powder
Cayenne powder
Drizzle of honey for hint of sweetness
  • Bake for approx. 40 minutes, shifting around every 10. Might be more according to how many cans of beans used.

In other news, I had a wonderful weekend as the calm before the storm. Filled with time with my love, making flower crowns, getting some sun, attending two wedding showers, and spending time with the Benson family.

Hello April.

I've come to the conclusion that I am definitely not a cold weather person. This warm spring weather gives me so much life and I am so ready to start wearing skirts, dresses, and sandals! At least I have this warm weather to get me through the grueling weeks of school ahead:)

My instagramable week:
Discipleship at Trader Joes? Why not;)

This is painful to say. But I made dinner for Vance for the first time ever. That's right. In over three years it was the first time ever. I made up for it though with pesto stuffed chicken, soy green beans, and pasta, and he approved! Thumbs up to that. And he even surprised me with this sweet bouquet he picked from the side of the road. Swoon.

FINALLY some Spring weather. 2 hours in the sun left me with a burnt nose. And I didn't even care!

Mom always gives the most fun gifts. Thanks for the supposed to be bunny, pig lookalike;)

A little love time before heading back to Columbia. This pup hated me for 2 years before coming around, literally HATED me. What made him come around? I guess anyone would love you if you were stuck in a house for three days with them with no way to get food except for them to feed you;)
Love language.

Sweet breakfast with my sophomore girls. I have loved seeing them grow exponentially within the past two years.
Thanks for waking up so early.
Oh, and let me know if you want this recipe for maple praline French toast. To die for!

This weekend I am making my way back to Charleston with some friends! While the guys run the Cooper River Bridge run, I'll be laying out on the beach:)
Happy SPRING everyone!
